I just did the same thing a lil over month ago….my lease in my house ended and I decided to move in with my sister to save some money so I can start my life in NYC. So i moved in with her…her house was practically empty,no pictures on the wall, un matched furniture(im faaaar fom perfect but i do like things to match) and her house just had this empty feeling. So instead of taking all my shit in and storing it in her garage as planned, I thought id pep her house up a bit. I soon found her house to look exactly like mine, just in her house and not mine. I took her couches and TV and put them in the garage and filled her walls with cast iron candle holders and pictures, put my 67″ TV in her livingroom and put my beautiful green couch set in the perfect position. All was well….for a bit. Well long story short, things got pretty rough between us and the last thing that I wanted to happen was my relationship with my sister to come to a screachin hault over petty bullshit…so I decided to move out. No idea where I was gonna go, but anywhere but there seemed nice. As I packed my things I had to pee and walked through the living room and realized that I was gonna just start over, and leave everything there. So here I am, almost 2 months since the move. All I have is my Durango and some tubs of clothes scattered between a few friends’ houses…refreshing in a way. Going strong but I am only human and miss alot of things that I had, and not just material shit. So letting go is the hardest part but I am grateful everday because this is a new chapter in the book I call my life….Take in every emotion that you feel as you go through this change because its all, good bad or sad, gonna shape you.
