iron Decor I am looking to identify hand-painted iron stone plates. The engraving on the backside of the?
plate reads as best as I can make out- "Real A. Bros China- Iron Stone." At the top of the script there is a figure of a royal crown. Each plate is individually marked and numbered. The decor of the plate is painted in reds, blues and flecks of gold. At the center is a vase holding a mix of flowers, wild and others and at the rims on three sides are drawn and painted within circles (smaller plates?) a kind of bird - or may be chicken. Can anyone help me identify this plate and lead me to where I might find additional info as I am preparing to put the plate (s) on the market. I also think that there is a possibility that the plate (s) is circa1888s. Thanks so much for your help.

It was crazy visiting Boerne for the first time. I had been to San Antonio prior to that trip, but never the Hill Country. The Hills and constant elevation changes blew my fragile little mind. It took some time to adjust from the “everything at your fingertips” lifestyle that The Woodlands afforded, but soon enough Boerne was home. It was plain yet magical at the same time. Can’t recall how many journeys were taken trespassing on somebody’s land in search of something cool, all done in the name of “exploration”. We once, my friends and I, stumbled upon a burnt down house at the edge of this humongous pasture we had to traverse. It must’ve gone up in flames in the 30′s or 40′s. It was heavily over-grown and the only remnants we could find were wrought iron decorations, shattered porcelain and a hella-old manual typewriter. I brought back a piece of wrought iron with me; my mom still has it hanging next to the telephone in the kitchen some 10 years later. Ah, the good times.
