after taking ages carefully ironing my nets i have hung them on the rail in the window only to find that they are still full of creases. it's so disheartning what am i doing wrong?
It's because you either washed them on a too hot wash or they were too dry when you ironed them. Try hand washing them (just agitate gently in bowl) or washing on a delicate programme, don't spin curtains but hang them out until slightly damp. Hope this solves your problem.

The carport is attached to my home, roofed over and has a short brick wall on the back half and full outter side. There are 3 wrought iron pillars on the side wall, not sure if they are support pillars or decorative. There is no brick on the front side but I would like to be able to place a door in the center somehow as well. Any ideas out there??
kandl722 is right, however, instead of nailing the screening on, go to Lowes or Home depot and look at the screening system they sell. Do this before you space out any 2x4's. The system consists of a vinyl base strip with 2 grooves in it, that you nail to the face of the 2x4's. Into the grooves, using a tool that looks like a heavy duty PizzaPie cutter, you insert a vinyl "cord" that holds the screen in Then, finish cap is put on. It's easy, and if the screen gets a tear or hole in it, just pull off the cap, pull out cord and replace the screen. Just remember to paint everything before you put up the screen. Oh, and I would suggest you nail a short 2x4 between the vertical 2x4's about half way up to control warping. It also makes a handy shelf to put items on.

I am trying to learn how to draw with Autocad or Rhino cad. I currently have a free trial downloaded but im just lost looking at graph paper and lines! The training quotes i got were from $2800.00 OR pay $995 and wait for spring.

For modeling items such as scroll work, Rhino is going to be head and shoulders above AutoCAD. Rhino is a NURBS modeler, which lends itself quite well to doing this kind of work.
To just get you started off in Rhino, there are two commands that you will probably most interested to get started, the first is Curve, the second is InterpCrv. Both will draw a curve, with InterpCrv, the curve will pass exactly through the points you click. While this sounds better off the bat, I actually find Curve is easier to get the result that you are after.

This is the other major advantage of Rhino over AutoCAD, the support is second to none. You can get free tech support by calling, emailing, or using the newsgroup, and you can do this not even owning a license. AutoCAD you can only get tech support from your reseller, only after you buy, and you have to own a current product (AutoCAD will discontinue editions after a while).

Black iron is cast iron black the whole way through?
i got a cast iron skillet from my grandmother and the inside bottom is a dull brown color. i don't think it's rust because it won't scrub off--it just keeps coming no matter how much i scrub or wipe it. i almost think it's what's underneath the black exterior of the cookware. Is that possible or is cast iron black the whole way through? (i haven't seasoned it yet and don't know when it last was, if ever) is anything wrong with it?
Cast iron skillets are cast iron all the way through (some of the newer cast iron *pots* --called "Dutch ovens"-- may also be coated with colored enameling inside and/or out, but not cast iron skillets).
The brown color you see is either the "natural color" of the iron somewhat oxidized or actual rust layer (which has to be sanded off... scrubbing won't do much). The black color eventually happens to a very well seasoned cast iron piece because it's had some kind of fat baked onto it many-many-many times, which also makes the surface fairly non-stick (and that smooth black color is highly prized!).
You should definitely hang onto that one though (and fix it up) rather than buying a new one because the older ones were much smoother from the start and make the best and quickest non-stick surfaces!
There are various ways to fix up old cast iron skillets (and many people prowl thrift stores, etc., just to find them), but basically you'll need to sand them smooth (opinions vary on what to use), then "season" with fat and lots of heat for a few hours. (Many people also feel the first use should be with something really fatty and/or fried.) After that, every time the skillet is used (and rinsed and oiled again properly) it will build up more and more of that wonderful well-seasoned black surface.
