I have a pair of fabulous heavy brass andirons that constantly need polishing. Is there something that I can use to seal the metal once polished so that they won't tarnish? I also have a copper bucket I would like to treat. Anybody have experience with a product they found to be good?
I am not sure how well a poly sealant like Krylon or Rustoleum would work. There are products that can be ordered online that are made just for this purpose, but they can get a bit expensive if you need a lot. 2 that come to mind are Everbrite and Staybrite. Both can be purchased in aerosol form and from what I have read seem easy to apply. Everbrite has a more industrial sealant called Protectaclear. I myself am on the search for a copper sealant as I am trying to prevent oxidation to my new porch roof, and I'm sure you can just imagine how expensive that can get. I hope you find what you are looking for!! Goodness knows I am! lol

I found a hot dog waffle maker in my parent's kitchen cabinet. Unfortunately the instruction manual is missing. I tried to make some hot dog waffles, but only end up with a mess, e.g. the batter sticks to the iron or the batter spreads out of the iron. Is there a technique to obtain results such as those commercially sold? Yes, you do put in hot dogs or weiners in the batter. I tried oiling it well but still end up with batter sticking to the griddle.
Try Bisquick or Jiffy Mix, if you have not already. Use the waffle batter recipe, which includes extra oil. Also oil the waffle maker.
Most waffle makers are messy, as far as run over, if you are trying to fill them up.
