Black wrought Which color should I choose for the wrought iron fence around my house, black or white?
I like the way white looks but they say that it's more high maintenance, that you have to paint it every year, and black well it doesn't show the dirt. Also the color of my house is gray and the framing around the windows is white so i don't know if it would clash if I would do the fence black. What do you guys think?

I have a black wrought iron bed with black/brown bedside tables and dresser. My daughter's furniture is white. We have to share a room for a couple years, long story, anyway, I will be buying an inexpensive bedding set to match her bedding set, but our furniture does not match. Is there anyway to help blend them? The room will be geared more for her definitely. I just do not know how to do it?

I am thinking about putting drapes on them they already have 2 inch white wooden blinds on the windows. I have black wrought iron rods (pottery barn style) would I put the rod above the transom) or between the transom and the window. This is in our family room. THANKS. Because your transom is decorative you should consider leaving it uncovered. In my own home, we wanted to hide our transom, because it is old and cracked, so we went all the way to the ceiling and hid it.

after taking ages carefully ironing my nets i have hung them on the rail in the window only to find that they are still full of creases. it's so disheartning what am i doing wrong?
It's because you either washed them on a too hot wash or they were too dry when you ironed them. Try hand washing them (just agitate gently in bowl) or washing on a delicate programme, don't spin curtains but hang them out until slightly damp. Hope this solves your problem.
