"Wrought" iron is correct. Compared to other kinds of fencing, wrought iron is relatively easy to install. Begin with establishing a level line for the top of the fence. You must first decide whether the fence will run true or follow the contours of the land under it. The next step is to lay out the exact locations where the posts must go, but don't be tempted to dig all the holes at once--the spacing may be off once a hole is actually dug and a post set in place. So, work one post at a time, setting and plumbing as you go. Once you have all the posts set, using braces, that's when you fill around each post with dry ready-mix concrete. By allowing the ready-mix to draw moisture from around the hole, you will end up with a better and truer final set. Allow the posts to remain braced for one full day while the concrete fully sets. Then remove the braces and start filling between posts with the wrought iron sections.

Where can I buy caps to put on top of my iron fence?
I have an iron fence in my backyard. The stakes are about 6 feet tall and are hollow so a lot of rust has accumulated on the inside. How can I fix or prevent this? I thought getting some caps to cover up the holes should be enough by preventing rain water from getting inside, but I dont know where to purchase them cheaply.
I would stop in at Home Depot or Lowes and tell them what you have. They may have little rubber caps you can put over the top. Another good idea is if you know the manufacturer of the fencing, contact them and explain the problem. They may have just what you need. Otherwise there isn't much in the way of a good permanent fix that I can think of.

The gate openers will cost more. There is a brand called Mighty Mule that cost about $500 - $600 for a single gate or $600 - $800 for double gates. I have a friend that had one of these but it gave him a lot of trouble.
I have done maintenance on the more expensive ones: US Automatic and OSCO. These are commercial openers and I think, but am not sure, cost about $1000 - $2000 each. This type has a complex installation to them as they are in commercial use.

How to make a sliding gate for driveway?
I am trying to make a sliding gate and could do with some pointers.
The gate will be 4m wide x 1m high. I am getting it made from wrought iron by a local blacksmith. But Although I know it needs to be on wheels running in a track, I don't know where I can buy them from. I am thinking that I need about 8-9m of RSJ buried in the ground where the gate will slide along with a metal dowel welded to it, then the gate should have wheels which run on the dowel. But I have no idea if this is the best method or even the correct way of doing it. On top of this query, once the gate is sitting on its track or similar, how do you support the top so it stands upright?
Ultimately once the gate is working I plan to add an electric gate kit so it can be opened from the car - so all in all it is quite a big DIY project...
So any advice or weblinks or advice greatly received - especially in respect to where I can get these from.

A metal shop should have a roller that helps support the gate at the top to hold it upright, and make sure it opens right. It is U shaped and fits over the top of the gate.You could also use a caster and U channel steel. anything to keep it straight.

I moved from old callaway X12's (played with them for about 6 years) to the new X22's (played with them 2 months) and recently bought the 09 X-Forged Irons.The clubs play brilliantly and are very forgiving, but ball shape and control is not under discussion for these clubs. Today I went in to trade the X22's for a forged iron set, just purely because I want more feel and feedback. I'm not worried about distance. Accuracy is my game. I've hit a couple of balls with the Nike, Taylormade, Ping, and the Callaway. I must say, they all are exceptional, and it really needs a pro's touch to feel the difference. Not that I am, I just go for that's comfortable in my hands. I told the guy not to tell me what club he is giving me to hit and i really just focused on hitting the balls and not looking at the kind of club and persistently the results showed that my swing consistency with the X-forged was a little bit better than all the others. They hit sweet, they feel balanced... I just can't wait till I can go and play them. The X-Forged is a pure, workable, and slightly forgiving forged cavity-back iron made from soft carbon steel. It is an iron used by pros or golfers with above-average ball-striking. It has a thinner topline, thinner sole, less offset, and a smaller cavity; in other words, it has very traditional looks. On the other hand, the X-20 Tour is less workable, more forgiving cavity-back iron cast from stainless steel for mid to high handicap golfers. It is somewhat traditional, but it's bigger, thicker, and easier to hit for those golfers who have decent ball-striking and want a good-looking iron that is not too hard to hit. If you need more workability, precision, or less hooks/draws to the left (to the right if you're a lefty), then go for the X-Forged. If you want forgiveness with good looks and still maintain some level of workability, go for the X-20 Tour.

I am looking to purchase a set of Titleist Z Mustle Forged Irons?
This will be my 5th set of Titleist forged irons and I have yet to have them custom fit for myself. I am wondering if getting the irons fit for me would make a difference in my game? I have always played standard length, lie, etc. in the past. At the current time I am a 3 or 4 handicap and wondering if a custom set would help me shave a stroke or two off my game. I am 6"5' tall
Your height has nothing to do with if you need custom length clubs. As long as your arms are in proportion to your body - standard length should be fine as is born out by your playing standard length up to this point and achieving a low index. As to loft that is really a matter of preference, if you want to hit the ball higher or lower you can have the loft adjusted. Lie angle is important to help you hit the ball solidly on the sweet spot every time and is the one I would give most consideration to. As mentioned if you buy a whole set of top name brand irons at a Golf Galaxy or Golfsmith they will be happy to check the lie angle free for you.

Im looking at buying a house with nice dark cherry cabinets, black granite counter tops, tan travertine (spell?) flooring, and a little darker brownish carpet. I'm trying to figure out a paint color scheme that would work to tie these all together. The stairs banister is also cherry with wrought iron bars... the bathroom has antiqued hardware but lighter tile and the same brownish carpet... any ideas? tips? etc? thanks!
i think you should consider a yellow, not vibrant but more of a popcorn butter yellow. I have cherry cabinets and accent them with matching wood work then other co lours we have in the room is a olive green that looks great and makes it pop hope this helps
