1930's Cast Iron Fireplace repair?
Hi, I currently own a 1931 Sears Roebuck home. It still has the original cast iron fireplace. All looks to be in good condition except the "heat exchanger"....basically the vent in the front of the fireplace that blows the hot air into the room....it's making a noise when I turn it on.
Appreciate if anyone has any guidance on how / where I can have this repaired so that it doesn't make a noise?

We have two cast iron fireplaces in our home that we want to get rid of - could we sell them?
How much could we get for them if we could?
Ah, Dolly, they are lovely, but we need the extra space we'll get without them!
