I only use hot water to wash them, and dry them promptly over heat while wiping with a paper towel, then follow up by coating the inside with shortening. I have tried to reseason them all together and just start new but it always seems to happen again. When I got them from my grandmother they were well seasoned over many years, now the nice coating she had is almost gone, or in some places missing complelely. HELP! Yes, i screen printed on a tshirt and now i need to heat set it with an iron. What should i put in between the paint and the iron? Something like a towel? Or thinner? And how long should I iron it for? Thanks. would another shirt work as an in between? And I can't glide the iron around? I thought you werent supposed to keep it in one place though or it will scorch the shirt? I wish there were just better instructions on the paint...
If inside out, nothing.........right side up, use something like the old fashioned men's handkerchief or muslin, etc........always move by picking up the iron, don't slide it as it can smear....good luck!
