Please help me work out the oxidation numbers of iron in the following equation, to determine whether it has been oxidised or reduced:
2Fe3+ + 2I- ---------> 2Fe2+ + I2
You have the oxidation numbers of iron already... 3+ and 2+. You have two equations, essentially.
[2Fe3+ --> 2Fe2+] ---- the iron gains an electron since the charge changes from a 3+ to 2+. therefore, it is being reduced.
[2I- --> I2] --- remember that the oxidation number of an element (I2) is going to be zero. therefore, the iodide loses an electron since the charge changes from a -1 to 0. so the iodide is being oxidized.

I have some outdoor cement steps with no railings. I was given two wrought iron stair railings from a friend who was getting rid of them. Now, the problem is...I don't know how to install them! Does someone please have specific instructions you could give me?!

Where to get blank solid t-shirts or sweatshirts?
I'm making t-shirts for about 12 and I was wondering where I can get blank ones, so that I can iron on my own design?
I really wanted purple because it's such a great unisex color and I need it for both boys & girls.

ok i have just cleared the psyducks headakes so you can see i have been working on my tea a lot and belive it or not my torterra is the fastest pokemon i have its speed is 127 so can you rate my team were i am in the game and what i can inprove thanks (ps i have beat the game on my diamond and are 50 pokemon away from completeing the whole pokedex)
Awesome team man, everything deems to be playing to their strengths again, and you even started to have supporter moves, the only thing I can say now is that you should probably replace bronzongs gyroball with shadow ball to play to its special attack, and torterra's razor leaf with wood hammer which plays to regular attack, as opposed to special, which torterra has none of. Othewise anothe great team 10/10.
