Distressed iron
Half my eyelashes in one eye have been ripped out, what can i do? Lilash? Viviscal?
i was curling them and my mirror fell, as i sprang back the eyelashes were ripped out. It is quite painful, looks terrible and i am very distressed.. will Lilash or another eyelash conditioner work?? is it wise to buy it on ebay as i can't afford full price??.. i have a largely vegan diet, and already quite lacking in iron and other minerals that aid hair growth, so i am worried that it will impede the regrowth. i have heard Viviscal helps hair in this respect but again its expensive...

how do you keep cast iron from rusting?
I have a cast iron bowl that I use to add moisture into the air when using my cast iron stove. However, the bowl keeps rusting. Is there anything I can apply to the bowl to keep this from happening?
if you don't eat or drink from it, seal it with RustSeal by KBS Coatings. The KBS system sampler kit for $16 is a good deal. RustSeal is a non porous coating so water will not enter the metal again and rust will not reoccur. Rust Seal comes in some diff colors too.

Wrought iron painted the wrong colour .... help!!?
I have an ornamental garden rack for placing flower pots that was antique white in colour - yesterday I painted it black and I hate it. How can I get the colour back to how it was???
Sand it off (the sooner the better as it will come off easier now) or repaint. It might look cute if you sprayed white right over the black and then let it cure a couple of days before giving it a light sand so the black kind of shows through. It should make it look aged.

Cast iron
Can you stop a cast iron heating pipe from rusting?
If you have a return heating pipe of cast iron that is beginning to rust because of a moist location, can you sand and paint it? Or is there anything else you can do to stop the rust and protect it from moisture?
For cast iron, you will problably want to use Naval Jelly to remove any rust, then use a nuetralizer (tsp or other alternative, your paint store guy can help with that choice) once rust is removed, and the acid nuetralized I would recommend using a heat resistant rust preventative paint (rustoleum make it in aerosal form) That should help restore you iron pipe to new and help keep it that way.
