I have a beautiful oval mirror in my bathroom that I want plaster of Paris frame?

do you want to make a simple of a complicated structure? You will have to make a mold first. You could create the picture frame you want from clay or plasticine. You can even incorporate shells or other objects if you want, though you should avoid any undercuts as that will make your mold more complicated. Then make a plaster mold of that frame. If you insist of having undercuts you can use silicon rubber as a mold material instead. Google up instructions for mold making if you don't already know it before you start so you know what is involved. If you want to use your mold more then once sealing it with shellack probably helps, for one time use I probably just use vaseline as a mold release. Make sure everything is level before you mix your plaster. Make a cast from your mold. You can paint the frame afterwards, depending on what medium you use the plaster should be dry. Use expoxy resin to make sure your mirror stays in the frame.
I want to transfer a piece of artwork I created on my PC to a piece of glass. After the art is transferred, I intend to turn it into a mirror. Is there a way to transfer ONLY the laser toner of a printout onto glass? How can I get the image off of the paper and onto the glass?
I've tried baking and ironing. I've tried Xylene. These methods don't see to work. A waterslide decal also won't work because I don't want the excess film to block the mirror silvering process.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
I don't know how intricate the design is, but you might try cutting it out of the the waterslide decal using an exacto knife before soaking it in water.
There is an computerized printer called the Wishblade Cutting System, used by scrapbookers. It is meant to cut intricate computer designs on paper. It is an expensive machine, but it might work in cutting out your design printed on a decal.
The only other idea I would have is to either have an artist paint it directly on the glass or approach a silk screening firm and see if the can do the transfer for you.

wrought iron wall mirrors For good decorators or interior designers.......?
When walking into our 1100 sq ft home through the front door there is a wall 19 by 8 ft tall. It is stippled with drywall mud and is painted a light creme color. In the top right area of the wall is a wooden air intake vent probably 1.5 by 1.5 ft on the leftmost side of the wall is an open square arch leading to the hallway. Directly to the right (halfway up on the wall) is our square, white thermostat (about the size of a large index card).
Between this space is what this question is about. Because our living room is so small making it appear larger is of the utmost importance. My dad suggested a big wrought-iron mirror and i thought a collection of small mirrors, but my mom wants a painting.
Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas regarding this area. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the long description also. Thanks for the help!
