How can I augment a sheet of glass to get rid of the green tint and make it look white?
More specifically, my wife and I decided to decorate our home with white custom made wood furnishings. We used white polyurethane paint asked that a sheet of glass be placed on all surfaces (dining table, coffee table) for added protection. However, due to the large size of our tables an equally large (and thick) piece of sheet glass had to be used to cover the surface. The problem we're now facing is that, due to the thickness of the glass sheets there is a prominent green tint visible that is in contrast with the white color we had hoped to maintain. I understand now why the green tint is there (iron impurities) but I'd be interested in a solution to get the surface to look white somehow whilst preserving the structural benefits and convenience of the glass itself. I've considered a white vinyl sticker, sandblasting....really not sure what makes the most sense in terms of a long term, zero maintenance, rugged, clean solution. Any feedback would be well received!

What is this antique light used for?
I am an interior designer who has a client who can't identify the use of antique lamp she owns. It is old and a combination of iron and glass and is electric. It is about 36 inches tall. All this is in one peice. It has a 12"x12" platform on the top of emerald green glass which is uplighted from a torchere type lamp underneath. I would say it was a plant stand or display table of some kind. Her 83 year old mother insists that it is a piano light. This client has a very extensive and valuable antique collection of furnishings, accessories, paintings, fabulous vintage clothing, silver, linen, cars, etc. that was inheirited from her family members. So it is no telling what this thing is. Please help me!!!

what colour walls, furnishings etc.?
ok. i really need help.
The house is getting re-painted which means my bedroom is getting a makeover so im pretty much going to start from scratch (as i don't have much stuff anyway) but i have to keep my bed and bedspread. My bedroom is pretty small and when i say small i mean very small and my bed is like an old-fashioned type cast iron bed and the bedspread is kinda hard to describe but a mintish green Damask Flock pattern.
I have scowered the internet on ideas for my bedroom but have come up short. any suggestions on wall colours and furnishings!?
(im not really into green earthy tones, light green walls or plain white walls as thats what they are atm.. and white is kind of blinding. But i really need to decide wall colours fast so any suggestions would be awesome)
