I am not sure what others are thinking – but I would love a communal garden where we could all work at the same place and share the fruits of the garden.
Raised beds would be great
A naturalization area would be terrific – certainly it would need minimal watering and be a great learning lesson.
I would be interested in a communal perennial bed, and definitely a BIG Yes to both trees and berries. In a communal garden, trees and berry patches would be easier – and even though it would take a few years to produce fruit the trees would be a great legacy for future Tuscans.
Sheds and Stoage would be dependent on the vote for communal vs individual plots.
Decorative fencing might look nice especially with sweet peas growing up it.
Plot selection is again dependent on the vote – and I will leave the ground material to those who know more about that .
I'll take some pics tomorrow and email them to you. The Girls' yard then, is alas, a parking lot. Last year they put some new decorative fencing around the front of the PPW side and a new sign, which I guess is nice; but the fencing is vinyl and I think it's ugly.
The yard in the back is blacktop and the scouts' trailers are parked there, but for the most part, it is still wide open and still the schoolyard – the area they use for recess. The field across the street on Windsor Place where the teams play is still there and in use too. It's full of Christmas trees right now.
Bishop Ford is largely the same as it always was. The back yard is parking, which I think it always was. I think the only real change is that (if I am not mistaken) the Franciscan housing on top is now gone. The auditorium is now air conditioned, as of a few years ago. Ray Nash (who used to be in athletics) is President now, Joe Mingrone is head of Arts, Frank Brancato is still around.
